Explore Uganda in 6 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, the trip starts in Kampala and end in Kampala, it sees you to Kibale forest National park popular for its large numbers of primkates also known as the primates capital of east Africa, the trip will also see you explore queen Elisabeth national park Uganda’s second largest national park and Bwindi forest national park popular for Uganda gorillas trekking and known to be hosting up to three quarters of the remaining mountain gorilla population, get to interact with the largest primates ( mountain gorillas).
Brief Travel Plan
Day 1: Pick and transfer to Kibale forest national park, you can do village tour.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest national park and transfer to queen elizabeth national park.
Day 3: Morning game drive in queen Elizabeth national park and boat cruise on kazinga channel.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi forest national park via ishasha .
Day 5: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest national park and transfer to lake Buyonyi.
Day 6: Transfer to Kampala
Detailed Travel Plan
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Kibale forest national park.
On the first day of your 6 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, our guide will pick you from your place of accommodation and brief you about the trip, presumably after breakfast, you will embark on the drive to Kibale forest national park also known as the primates capital of the world , the drive will take about 6-7 hours with a few stops on the road for stretches and relaxations. Proceed to the park upon arrival you will check in at your lodge and if time allows, you will head for a village walk in the community seeing tea plantation and any other places of interest such as crater lakes.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in the park and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
Early in the morning after breakfast, your guide will take you to the park headquarters for briefing n chimpanzee trekking, later you will be grouped and your will head to the forest in search for the chimpanzees, the park endowed with multiple primates such as l hoest monkeys, white colobus monkeys, vervet monkey, red tailed monkeys, olive baboons together with several bird’s species making it double as a bird watchers paradise. As you get deeper in the jungles, you will start noticing signs of the chimpanzee presence noticeable with screams. Upon meeting them you will be allowed to spend a maximum of 1 hour with them, taking photos and interacting. Later you will exit and transfer to the headquarters where you will reunite with the guide and head to the lodge for lunch. After lunch you will transfer to queen Elizabeth national park.
Day 3: Morning game drive in queen Elisabeth national park and boat cruise on Kazinga channel.
In the morning after breakfast, you will hop into the vehicles and you will head out for an early morning game drive in the park, head to Kasenyi with expectation of seeing lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, water bucks, warthogs and if lucky you will be able to see the elusive leopards. Later after the game drive, you will withdraw for a break and later head out for a boat cruise on Kazinga channel filled with sceneries and anticipate to see crocodiles, hippos several birds as well as animals relaxing on the shores . Exit the boat cruise and head back to the lodge.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Forest national park.
In the morning after breakfast, you will check out your accommodation and embark on a drive to Bwindi Forest national park through the ishasha sector of queen Elisabeth national park , pass through the lush countryside upon arrival . you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Early in the morning after breakfast, your guide will pick you and transfer you to the park headquarters where you will be briefed on the dos and don’ts regarding gorilla trekking . Be a singed a gorilla family to trek from and later hike into the jungles in search for the gentle giants (the mountain gorillas) as you transcend the jungles you will come across several birds and other primates. It will take about 1-4 hours getting the gorillas. Upon seeing them you will be allowed to spend a maximum of 1 hour interacting with them taking as many pictures as you can. Later head back to the park headquarters be handed certificates and head to your lodge for lunch.
Later check out of the lodge and transfer to lake Bunyonyi side known for is beautiful scenery. Arrive in the evening and check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Boat cruise and transfer to Kampala.
In the morning , have your breakfast and later embark on a boat cruise on lake Bunyonyi, the cruise will take you to several islands of the lake and as well as the punishment island known to be where the unmarried pregnant Bakiga girls were left to die as punishment. Exit and head back to your lodge and pack your bags to transfer to Kampala. Arrive in the evening and be dropped at any place of your choice
