Bweza Gorilla Lodge
Bweza Gorilla Lodge: The recently constructed Bweza Gorilla Lodge is a mid-range lodging option located in the frigid Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Southern Uganda, namely in the Rushaga Gorilla Trekking zone. The lodge is located close to the Bwindi National Park headquarters, just 20 minutes from the briefing and tracking station for gorillas. With its stunning vistas, gentle breezes, whispering trees, and forest canopy, the lodge is an ideal starting point for visitors, travelers, and vacationers looking for safari adventures and leisure time to explore the park. It is also business-friendly. To get to the resort, take a road trip from Kampala or Entebbe, which takes approximately 9–10 hours. Alternatively, take a 1- 2-hour fly from Kajjansi Airfield or Entebbe International Airport to the nearby Kisoro airport, then drive for a short while to get to the lodge.
The five large, cozy en suite rooms at Bweza Gorilla Lodge can accommodate up to ten people and are ideal for singles, couples, and families. The rooms feature modern amenities and complement the traditional African architecture. The rooms are tastefully adorned, perched on an elevated platform, and equipped with a private bathroom complete with a flushing toilet, hot and cold showers, free bottles of water, bathrobes, mosquito nets, free toiletries, white pillows and duvets, extinguishers, and many other amenities. The wooden balconies, terraces, and sitting spaces in the rooms allow you to unwind while taking in the spectacular view of the surrounding landscape and the canopy forest. Excellent, spotless bedding, a wooden floor, and ceiling fans are all included in the rooms. The resort features fire pits where visitors may unwind and exchange stories about their safari adventures. The fires also keep the guests warm at night.

The best and most popular national park in the Kanungu district of Southwest Uganda is Bwindi Forest Impenetrable National Park. There are more than nineteen gorilla groups in the park, home to endangered mountain gorillas. The entire area of the park is 330.8 square kilometers. In Bwindi National Park, there are over 600 mountain gorillas, of which 19 gorilla families are habituated. There are four distinct sectors inside the park where gorilla trekking is conducted: Nkuringo, Rushaga, Buhoma, and Ruhijha.
The lodge is located in the Rushaga Sector, which is home to the Mishaya, Kahungye, Nshongi, Busingye, and Bweza gorilla groups. There are two gorilla habituated experience families in the Rushaga sector: the Bukingi and the Bushaho. Tracking Rushaga is also possible when visiting the Nkuringo area. Of all the sectors that make up Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Rushaga is the best and most popular because it offers a stunning perspective of the forest canopy.
In Bwindi, a gorilla permit costs $700. In the entire planet, there are more than 786 mountain gorillas. About half of Uganda‘s population resides in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with the remaining portion situated in Mgahinga National Park. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park offers a variety of lodging options, including luxury, midrange, and budget options. Visits to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park are most recommended in February, March, June, July, September, October, and December. While visiting the park, there are a variety of things to do, such as gorilla trekking, gorilla habituation, the Batwa pigmies trail, cultural experiences (traditional dances), bird watching and birding (the park is home to over 150 different bird species), nature walks in the forest, community tours in Bwindi Forest, Lake Bunyonyi and Lake Mutanda visits, tracking golden monkeys in Mgahinga National Park, and a host of other activities
