Bwindi Forest Lodge; At the Bwindi Forest Lodge Budget lodging can be available in the Buhoma area of the Northern Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Kanungu District Uganda. The lodge is conveniently located near the tracking station, making it an ideal starting place for gorilla trekking excursions into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to about half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population. Road travel from Kampala or Entebbe to the resort takes approximately 9 to 10 hours (480 km). Alternatively, one can fly from Entebbe International Airport to the nearby Kihihi airport in 1 to 2 hours, then take an hour and a half to drive to the lodge. With its stunning views of the surrounding landscape and the forest canopy, the resort is both business-friendly and convenient for visitors and travelers looking for safari adventure and relaxation.

Bwindi Forest Lodge is made up of more than ten roomy, cozy rooms that look out over the park and are designed in an African architectural style.

The rooms are tastefully adorned, tastefully elevated, and peacefully furnished with en – suite private amenities such as hot and cold showers, mosquito nets, free toiletries, slippers, free bottled water, and many more. The rooms feature spacious living spaces and private balconies with stunning views of the neighboring farmland and the gorgeous forest canopy. Excellent, spotless comfortable poster beds with freshly laundered linens are provided in each room. The sizes of the rooms vary, offering options for single, double, twin, triple, and family sleeping as well as single beds for individuals. Room rates start at $150 per person per night and can occasionally go up slightly during peak season compared to low season.

A restaurant with a variety of dishes, both continental and local, that satisfy customers’ appetites, served by staff members who are polite, well-trained, and well-organized. Breakfast is served in the gardens or in the room with a view of the forest. Lunch, a three-course dinner served both indoors and outside.

While staying at the lodge, guests can engage in activities such as gorilla trekking, which is popular due to the presence of mountain gorillas in the park, birding and birdwatching, and nature walks in the nearby hamlet.

The best and most popular national park in the Kanungu district of Southwest Uganda is Bwindi Forest Impenetrable National Park. There are more than nineteen gorilla groups in the park, home to endangered mountain gorillas. The entire area of the park is 330.8 square kilometers. In Bwindi National Park, there are over 600 mountain gorillas, of which 19 gorilla families are habituated. There are four distinct sectors inside the park where gorilla trekking is conducted: Nkuringo, Rushaga, Buhoma, and Ruhijha. The three gorilla families that call Buhoma Sector home are Mabare, Hhabinyajha, and Rushegura. The lodge is located there.

With nineteen members, Rushegura is an elderly family in the park, and Mabare was the first to become acclimated. If Ruhijha is at the Buhoma site, she can also be tracked. When compared to the other sectors that make up Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the Buhoma sector is the best and most popular because it offers a stunning perspective of the forest canopy. In Bwindi, a gorilla permit costs $700. In the entire planet, there are more than 786 mountain gorillas. About half of Uganda’s population resides in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with the remaining portion situated in Mgahinga National Park. The Bwindi Impenetrable National Park offers a variety of lodging options, including luxury, midrange, and budget options. Visits to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park are most recommended in February, March, June, July, September, October, and December.
