The Northern Bypass is a considerably more convenient way to get to the resort from Kampala.

From the Kawempe roundabout, travelers should take the northern bypass north. Travelers can cross the Nile at Karuma Falls and continue 248 km on the tarmacked Gulu road. Three kilometers past the bridge at Karuma, you’ll find a murrum road on your left, with a sign indicating “Chobe Safari Lodge” fourteen kilometers up the road. It takes roughly three and a half hours to get from Kawempe to Chobe Safari Lodge.

There is an alternate route that passes via the town of Homia on the way to the Lodge. This is a significantly longer trek, though, taking roughly 6½ hours to travel 361 kilometers.
