The Principal/Main Lodge
Situated on a hillside, Mahogany Springs’ main lodge construction offers a wide terrace with beautiful views of Bwindi. How to Get to Mahogany Springs Resort
Take an hour’s flight from Entebbe International Airport to Kihihi Airport, then drive for an hour to get at the Mahogany Springs Lodge. Alternatively, you can drive from safari spots in Western Uganda, such as major wildlife safari destinations like Queen Elizabeth National Park and Kibale National Park, which are known for their chimpanzee tracking experiences, to the lodge.
Mahogany Springs is approximately ten hours’ drive from Entebbe International Airport via Mbarara-Ntugamo-Rukungiri Road. This road is well-surfaced for 70% of its length. After completing the immigration procedure at the border, driving from Kigali to Mahogany Springs Lodge via Katuna Border Post will take around six hours.

The Family Suites’ unhindered views of the Munyanga River are sure to please families. Children Under the age of fifteen are not permitted by UWA to hike with mountain gorillas. Alternatively, Mahogany Springs offers a range of activities inside the lodge that may be done with a babysitter to keep them occupied while you go on your gorilla trekking adventure.
Mahogany Springs Lodge Rates: From $290 per person sharing | $405 per person single during low season (March, April, May, and November). During the peak months of January through December, prices start at $375 per person sharing and $490 per person alone.
All meals, lodging, bottled water, and a glass of house wine, beer, or soft drink with supper are included in the room rates; 25-Hour Power Supply, Services for Laundry, Private restrooms, a safe deposit box in the room, personal balcony or deck, Views of the Forest Canopy are all offered at the lodge.
