Semwema Rock Shelter The Parliament Of The Bachwezi

Semwema Rock Shelter The Parliament Of The Bachwezi: Semwema Rock Shelter, located in Mubende District, just 1.5km east of Munsa Earthworks in Kibale District, and 2km west of Kakumiro Trading Centre, is thought to be the location of the Bachwezi Parliament’s meetings.

Because of the events that occur there, such as the feasting season among Bachwezi devotees, it is a popular tourist destination and an active shrine of the Bachwezi cult. There is a rock shelter beneath the shrine that can hold roughly 200 people.

Within the rock shelter, there is a rock tunnel that allows visitors to ascend to the summit for a clear view of the countryside. The cylindrical offertory objects in the photos are 9, which most tourists find attractive, and the number nine (9) within the Bachwezi religion is visible.

Travelers on safari in Uganda are always fortunate to appreciate such natural landscapes with fascinating history that leave them with enduring memories because the country is blessed with a large number of tourist destinations that are in their original forms and have not been altered in decades.
